AAP Dance is proud to employ highly qualified instructors who have studied dance at the collegiate level and performed professionally. Each member of our team has a unique style and area of expertise that provides our students with a well-rounded team of instructors.

Andrea Phillips Neal, Artistic Director
Andrea Phillips Neal graduated with honors and holds a Bachelors degree in Dance from Meredith College, where she completed dual concentrations in Dance Education (K-12) and Private Studio Teaching, and was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda (academic honor society) and Nu Delta Alpha (dance honor society).
Her career as a dance instructor and choreographer has included work in the secular and sacred arenas. Andrea has taught at numerous studios & schools, choreographed & performed for collegiate dance companies/concerts, coached dancers abroad, performed professionally in concerts/stage shows, performed at Walt Disney World, and studied with dance pioneers and legends in New York. In the sacred arena of dance, Andrea has hosted and taught at numerous workshops & conferences, founded several dance ministries, shared the stage with several gospel artists, taught dance internationally.
Andrea is a passionate teacher who requires excellence from herself and her students. Andrea is married and is forever thankful for her supportive husband, Dale. Together, they have one dog :-).

Aileen Mapes
Aileen Mapes is thrilled to begin her second year with AAP Dance and her second year in Orlando. Aileen, originally from Houston, TX has an MFA, Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Arizona State University, where she was under a performance scholarship, teaching assistant and awarded Excellence in Community outreach.
She is classically trained (Houston Ballet) as well as trained by some of the leaders in contemporary dance. Aileen started teaching dance in 1999 and has since branched into several forms of movement instruction from the introductory technical level through advanced movement practices. Currently in her 16th year as an instructor she maintains a core philosophy in student centered learning. Teaching is designing an environment where collaborative problem-solving experiences construct student knowledge. Guiding diverse student populations she has found it vital to assess through mindful learning and embodied knowledge to unlock critical thinking skills, technical strength and artistic potential.

David Arrington
Willie "David" Arrington II is a native of Orlando, Florida. He specializes in Hip-Hop and Pantomime. David has choreographed for many recording artists around the Central Florida area, as well as being a background dancer/singer for various artists. He is the founder of several Hip Hop based dance groups and loves working with and teaching dance to his students of all ages. David has a special gift and passion for inspring youth to be their best. Aside from the movement, David says the most important thing for him is making sure his students stay encouraged and that they believe in themselves no matter what.
David is an all around performer and he embodies several musical/artistic gifts. Not only does he sing and dance, but he also has been playing the piano and drums since he was 11yrs of age.
David is excited to be joining AAP Dance this year. He looks forward to sharing his style of hard-hitting, precise movement, an encouraging personality, and lots of fun.
