Discounts

Fees

Registration Fee: $30 per student

This is an annual fee that will be assessed each dance season.  Returning dancers will only be assessed a $20 registration fee. Dancers registering for special sessions/series, who are not currently registered students, will be assessed a $15 session registration fee.  Registration fees cover administrative and per student fees that are incurred upon enrollment.

Spring Concert Fee: $145 per student (includes One Costume, One Tight, the shared cost of facilities rental and staff for the concert, and 2 concert tickets)

This fee can be paid in two installments (October 15 & January 15), or it can be added the monthly tuition cost (1st installment of $25 due upon registration, and 6 equal installments of $20 due with the September-February tuition).  For dancers beginning after September, the equal installment option is not available. For each additional costume and tight, there will be an additional fee ($50-$100) that will also be due by February 15.  Each class requires a different costume and tight.  Combination classes (i.e. Fusion Fun) do not have an additional costume fee.  The specific cost for additional costumes will be distributed in December.  All fees not paid in full upfront are paid by auto-draft.  All students enrolled in Level I-IV, Creative Dance, Fun Fusion, and Worship Dance classes are required to participate in the spring concert as part of our curriculum.  Adult Classes that choose to participate in the spring concert will be assessed the concert fee as well.  We produce an in-house Christmas showcase that may also incur costume and ticket fees.

Concert Shoes/Tights:  Shoes are not included in the cost of the concert costume.  The shoes needed for the costume are at the discretion of the choreographer.  The specific information for shoes needed will be provided in the spring and dancers are responsible for having the exact style of shoe requested to ensure uniformity.  In some cases, the dancer will be able to wear shoes they have already purchased for dance.  All shoes must be approved by the director before the dress rehearsal. One pair of dance tights is provided with the dancer’s costume.  As an extra precaution, you may purchase an extra pair of tights for the concert from the director.  This is optional, but a wise practice in dance.

Concert Tickets:  This is a variable cost based upon the number of tickets you would like to purchase for our concert. A ticket is required for each person that enters the concert.

Dance Photos:  This is an optional cost.  Dancers will take class and individual photos in the spring in their concert costumes.  There will also be a photographer during the Dress Rehearsal and Concert.

Concert Videos:  This is an optional cost.  There is one video per dancer available for purchase.  Concert videos typically range from $20-$30, depending upon the quality.

Attire for Class:  Please see DRESS CODE for your dancer’s specific requirements. Classwear must be purchased from the studio to insure uniformity of color and style.

Studio Apparel:  T-shirts and other apparel will be for sale throughout the dance year.  This is an optional purchase, unless being used for an event (i.e. Christmas parade, community festival, etc.).

Performance Company Members may have additional costs including, but not limited to, additional costumes/tights/shoes, travel, conference/convention fees company paraphernalia and bags.

The fees listed below are for dancers enrolled in year-long technique classes, and do not apply to private lessons, special sessions, and drop-ins.

Special Rates

Private lessons are available to meet individual needs as a means of personalized coaching, solo preparation, or for special events.  The rate for individual private lessons is $50 per hour.  The rate for a standing appointment (meets weekly for at least 4 weeks) private lesson is $45 per hour.  The rate for choreography  starts at $75 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours to teach/learn the choreography; the time may be consecutive or split between dates. Additional hours may be required based on the speed the student is able to retain the choreography.  A $15 registration fee applies for students not currently enrolled. Please contact our office for group rates.

There will be several 6-8 week sessions presented throughout the year.  These sessions provide students an opportunity to try a style of dance without having to commit for an entire year.  They also offer schedule flexibility, which is often important for adult learners.  The sessions will cost $80 for a 6-week session and $95 for an 8-week session.  The pay by class rate for any special sessions is the same as other drop-in classes. Only cash and credit card are accepted for drop-ins. A $15 registration fee per Special Session applies for students not currently enrolled.  Registration fees for Special Sessions will not exceed $30 per year, and a student is eligible to enroll in additional classes and sessions for the dance season without paying additional registration fees once $30 of registration fees have been paid in a dance year.

AAP Dance Studios offers classes specially designed for liturgical/worship dancers.  These classes are $45 a month or $15 per class.  There is an annual registration fee for these classes (based on new/returned student rates listed above). No discounts or promotions, including but not limited to family discounts, yearly tuition discount, or refer a friend, apply to these classes.  Tuition is due on the first of each month by auto-draft and is based on a yearlong (August to May/June concert) commitment.  Dancers in Liturgical/Worship classes will dance in the spring concert and are responsible for all fees and costume requirements.  Dancers enrolled in the yearlong program should submit a written notice when they must withdraw to prevent additional charges on their account.  See your student handbook for further details.
