Jessica Bell teaches Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Fun Fusion, Creative Dance and Worship Technique classes at AAP Dance.
Jessica Bell was born and raised in Ormond Beach, Florida. She attended Father Lopez Catholic High School where she competed in national competitions with the Dancing Green Waves. With this team she won many titles including UDA National Champion in Prop 2007. After high school, Jessica attended Santa Fe College and began to get plugged into the dance community in Gainesville. After a year, she transferred to the University of Florida earning a BFA in dance. Here, Jessica trained not only in modern and ballet, but in West African dance as well, under the direction of Mohamed Dacosta. Jessica also trained with Kritsin O’Neal, David Dorfman, Tiffany Rynard, Tzveta Kassabova, and Orange Grove Dance. Through Shands Hospital, Jessica became interested in Arts and Medicine, receiving a scholarship to research the benefits of dance on recovering cancer patients.
In her teaching, she strives to look at dance through the lens of anatomy, understanding the body to enhance movement quality.
She currently dances with Emotions Dance Company and is working on her own project to premier at Creative City this October.
